Penske’s Scot MacLaughlin has signed a new deal to stay with the team, while his teammate and reigning-two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Josef Newgarden has signed Rich Pauls’ Klutch Sports Group, and becomes the first racecar driver on their roster.

Australian Karl Vilips spoke about his Sun Day Red deal as he became the first player to represent Tiger Woods’ brand.
Outside of Tiger Woods, the only other player who wears Sun Day Red while on the golf course is PGA Tour rookie Karl Vilips.
Vilips, who hails from Australia, attended and played at Stanford, just as Woods did in the 1990s. Having the same alma mater helped Vilips land this landmark sponsorship deal, as did his connections with TaylorMade.

INDIANAPOLIS – Well, that was much ado about nothing, as Matthew Stafford – the talk of the NFL Scouting Combine the entire week – is staying with the Los Angeles Rams.
Stafford and the Rams are finalizing a new agreement that will keep him in Southern California.
It wasn’t entirely easy.
The Rams initially weren’t sure they wanted to commit multiple years at significant money – anywhere from $45 to $50 million per season – to a 37-year-old quarterback, regardless of the fact Stafford has been a good player.
Stafford saw that as something of an insult.

ESPN finally rid itself of Bomani Jones in 2023 after years of him using the network to audition himself as the Al Sharpton of sports. Long story short, the audience rejected Jones. Every show he hosted failed–badly.
Yet despite his departure, Bomani-like rhetoric remains across the channel. Put simply, a less talented Bomani Jones has since emerged–a wannabe, if you will. 
In 2021, ESPN hired a guy by the name of David Dennis Jr. Dennis is the son of a civil rights activist, which ESPN considered notable in its post-George Floyd culture.
