Sports Illustrated has released its list of the 50 most influential people in sports, and while there is no shortage of perennial heavy-hitters on this list — your LeBron James-es, your Tiger Woods-es-es, and your Lewis Hamiltons — there was a fair amount of WNBA representation with Catlin Clark and Angel Reese making the list and the latter even landing on the cover.
Alright… that may be a little overkill, but I think both Reese and Clark making the list is fair.
The funny thing about lists like this is how intentionally vague they are.

Jordan Love was back at practice with the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, his second consecutive day working in drills not even two weeks into what was supposed to be a three-to-four week MCL injury to his left knee.
This is another sign Love might indeed be made of Kevlar and is playing on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Or maybe not.
“Is it possible that he plays?” Dr. David Chao, OutKick’s medical expert, said Thursday morning. “I don’t believe he will, but this is where things get tricky.”

The next time Aaron Rodgers appears to cough or scratch an itch at the line of scrimmage, defenders may want to pay better attention.
A new video breakdown by former player and NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho is making the rounds on social media showing just how good the New York Jets quarterback is at the line of scrimmage. Then came a more puzzling entry. SI listed ESPN’s WNBA studio team of Elle Duncan, Chiney Ogwumike, and Andraya Carter. Here’s the problem: those three women are not among the 50 most influential figures in sports media; let alone all of sports.
Consider the media figures SI omitted in favor of them.

The Milwaukee Brewers clinched the NL Central on Wednesday. And no one had more fun celebrating than Bob Uecker.
Uecker — otherwise known as “Mr. Baseball” — has been calling Brewers’ games for 53 years. So it was only right that, while the team was popping champagne bottles in the clubhouse, manager Pat Murphy took a moment to honor the longtime broadcaster.
“There is no one who epitomizes a champion like this man does right here,” Murphy said with his arm around Uecker.

Formula 1 is in Singapore this weekend for what is widely regarded as the most physically demanding race on the calendar (although, I think Qatar may have something to say about that after drivers battled dehydration and Esteban Ocon even finished the race after puking in his helmet), but there’s a lot of attention surrounding Visa Cash App RB.
More specifically, people are curious about who will be in one of their cars in about a month for the United States Grand Prix.
