The NFL scouting combine enables players who may have been underrated prior to the event to get their chance to show why their name belongs with other top players at their position. There were many players who made a name for themselves this week. Former USC Trojan tight end Lake McRee was one of those players.
In a recent tweet, USC Reporter Ryan Dyrud, in his analysis of Lake McRee’s performance at the combine, feels like McRee can be a sleeper in this year’s draft.

For all intents and purposes, this is a playoff game.
Due to Saturday’s results not going the Cyclones’ way, Iowa State’s trajectory in the Big 12 tournament is simple. If they win, they are the seven seed and play their first game on Thursday. If they lose, they are either the No. 9 or No. 10 seed and will play on Wednesday.
The Oklahoma City Thunder travel on the road to face the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. This will be the third matchup of the season between the two squads. OKC won the first two games with its latest victory on Dec. 5.
The Thunder (46-15) got a drama-filled 127-121 overtime win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned from a nine-game absence with 36 points and nine assists.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks (21-38) continue to fall in the NBA standings. They dropped a 124-105 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Brandon Williams had 16 points and eight rebounds.

So, the San Francisco 49ers’ offensive line issues grew over the last week. First, it was just finding a left guard and a successor for Trent Williams. Now it could turn into finding his replacement.
Nevertheless, another guard would help, and ESPN’s Aaron Schatz has the 49ers taking the services of Joel Bitonio in his projected free agent signing for the team.
In his recent 2026 NFL mock draft for CBS Sports, Mike Renner has the Denver Broncos adding a new weapon for third-quarterback Bo Nix.
With the 30th overall pick in the first round of Renner’s mock, the Broncos select Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper (6-0, 204 pounds), who just won a national championship with the Hoosiers.
“Cooper is the best YAC weapon in the class, making him a perfect fit for Sean Payton’s offense,” Renner wrote for CBS. “He also has exceptional hands, posting a career drop rate of just 4.2%.
