USC Trojans superstar JuJu Watkins’ knee injury drastically changes USC’s March Madness run.
Watkins suffered a knee injury during a women’s NCAA tournament matchup between the No. 1 seed Trojans and the 9-seed Mississippi State Bulldogs. As the Trojans were up by double-digits in the first quarter, Watkins ran down the court, potentially pushing for her next score in transition to extend the lead. The sophomore guard and a Bulldogs defender were in lockstep when suddenly, she went down to the floor and immediately grabbed her right knee.

JuJu Watkins, the sophomore USC women’s basketball star, suffered a frightening knee injury on Monday night while facing off against the ninth-ranked Mississippi State team.
The Trojans were up 13-4 in the first quarter when Watkins fell on a fast break, clutching at her right knee.
The energy at Galen Center in Los Angeles shifted completely.
Watkins, 19, needed help getting off the court, writhing and evidently startled by the sharp pain.
USC officially ruled Watkins out of action.
