Auburn basketball head coach Bruce Pearl recently provided an update on two key storylines that have raised concern across the Auburn fanbase.
Pearl spoke with the media during the Jimmy Rane Foundation’s annual fundraiser banquet this week, where he updated the status of Auburn’s “big man” pursuit and Tahaad Pettiford’s status for the NBA draft. Auburn added JUCO center Emeka Opurum this offseason, and could use Mississippi State transfer Keshawn Murphy as a center if needed.

The 24-year-old recorded four hits over 32 at-bats, including two doubles. Defensively, he’s seen action at 3B (three games), SS (two games), and 2B (two games), in addition to three games as DH.

The Sixers were granted some lottery luck as they landed the No. 3 pick in the loaded 2025 NBA draft. While Philadelphia won’t be able to grab Duke phenom Cooper Flagg or Rutgers star Dylan Harper, there will be talented players available with that selection. That will give the Sixers a chance to reload for the future.
