The Mexico Open was drunk. Not drunk in a literal sense, like the Waste Management Phoenix Open, but drunk as in the golf was so mediocre that it was almost intoxicating, and undoubtedly a must-watch given the pure level of uncertainty with every shot.
A guy named Brian Campbell winning the golf tournament with the help of a tree was the perfect way to wrap up what could very well go down as the weirdest tournament of the 2025 PGA Tour season.
Aldrich Potgieter, the man Campbell somehow took down in a playoff, deserves plenty of attention as well, which we’ll get to shortly.

Alpine’s drivers put the A525 through its paces ahead of F1 pre-season testing
Alpine struggled out of the gate during the 2024 Formula 1 season. The A524, their challenger for the 2024 campaign, came in overweight and lacked performance early in the year. That saw Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly at the back of the grid in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix. While Alpine dramatically reversed their stars, rising to finish sixth in the Constructors’ Championship, they hope to get out to a better start in 2025.

The future of professional volleyball was on display this weekend. For the first time, a women’s pro volleyball match was shown on one of the Big Four networks with CBS’ broadcast of the Pro Volleyball Federation All-Star Match.
It is an incredible acceleration of growth for the PVF and professional indoor volleyball overall. The 8-team league only began operating just last year.
