The New York Jets are going quarterback shopping this offseason because they have officially announced their intention to move on from Aaron Rodgers.
The team said it has informed Rodgers they will move forward without him in 2025, it was announced on Thursday.
The Jets will release Rodgers by the beginning of the new league year in March.
“Last week we met with Aaron and shared that our intention was to move in a different direction at quarterback,” head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey said in a statement.

Brett Favre supports Donald Trump’s executive order to keep males out of girls’ and women’s sports. But the legendary quarterback says it’s “absolutely insane” that the order was even necessary in the first place.
Trump — surrounded by dozens of female athletes and pro-woman advocates, including OutKick’s Riley Gaines — signed the order in the East Room of the White House last week.
Former UConn basketball player Eric Cobb has been arrested on a murder charge.
Cobb was taken into custody Tuesday for the alleged murder of his mother, Erika Ellen Winford, was found “wrapped in blankets and towels in the backyard” of their home in Jacksonville, the local authorities announced on X.
“She had suffered a gunshot wound and was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers detained Cobb as he attempted to leave the home. Following an interview, detectives arrested him.

Casting aside the pesky shackles of things like “morals,” “talent,” and “fair play,” the “Enhanced Games” will embrace athletes who can stick as many needles in their ass as possible to compete while juiced out of their mind. It’s all under the guise of “freedom,” as Don Jr. puts it.
