Through three games, the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers have had an epic first-round series. On Saturday, the Golden State Warriors came away with a 104-93 win over the Houston Rockets.
The win for the Warriors pushed them to a 2-1 series lead. The best-of-seven series will continue on Monday night from Chase Center in San Francisco.
Of course, one of the headline players in the series is Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. The 37-year-old guard continues to add to his Hall of Fame resume.

You don’t see this every day but with the transfer portal in full effect, perhaps we’ll see much more of this.
Once a hated Washington Husky, cornerback Jabbar Muhammad transferred to Oregon for one season and endeared himself to the Duck faithful. Having a nice season that turned into a continued career, signing as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t hurt either.
Muhammad played just one season at Oregon, but he fit in nicely into defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi’s system and was a valuable member of the Duck defense in 2024.
The Brooklyn Nets have 10 players that are free-agents of some sort this offseason after a 2024-25 NBA season in which the Nets had plenty of players going into the last year of their contracts. Brooklyn seeks to maintain cap flexibility throughout this rebuild, but they will have to think hard about guards Cam Thomas and D’Angelo Russell being on the open market.
Of the 10 players that will be free-agents for the Nets this summer, Thomas and Russell are regarded somewhere within the top-30 as both players have different ways that they can contribute to teams around the league.
UCF and West Virginia entered the weekend first and second in the Big 12 in batting, respectively and after scoring a combined five runs in game one on Friday, it was a completely different story in game two on Saturday.
There were a combined nine runs scored in the first inning alone, and in the end, West Virginia would lose their 5-0 lead, but came from behind multiple times, to help them win 15-10, and earn the series victory.
After totaling one hit on Friday, the Mountaineers matched that on the first pitch of the game on a single from Skylar King.
Former Oregon Ducks defensive back Brandon Johnson got an opportunity to continue his football career over the weekend, signing with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL draft.
He didn’t spend a ton of time in Eugene, but the one season season he played was memorable. Johnson is a feisty corner who had five passes defended this past season and wasn’t afraid to get dirty, registering the third-most tackles among Oregon defensive backs.
Johnson transferred to Oregon from Duke, where he served as a nickel corner for the Ducks in 2024.
Heading into the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys knew that adding a receiver to help CeeDee Lamb was a top priority.
But once Tetairoa McMillan was off the board with the Carolina Panthers selecting him at No. 8 overall, Dallas pivoted and went for guard Tyler Booker.
However, the rest of the draft played out, and the Cowboys didn’t add a single receiver through seven rounds. Two undrafted free agents, Traeshon Holden and Josh Kelly, were signed post-draft.
