F1 announced an extension with the Mexico City Grand Prix
The Mexico City Grand Prix has grown into one of the most popular races on the Formula 1 schedule. Fueled by a passionate fanbase and an incredible atmosphere, the race is loved by drivers, teams, and fans alike.
Now the event is going to stay on the schedule a few seasons longer.
F1 announced on Wednesday a new extension with the Mexico City Grand Prix, one that will keep the race on the F1 schedule through at least 2028. The extension runs for three years.

Anyone who watched BBC TV series Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams will remember Adnan Miakhel.
He was the teenage Afghan refugee who arrived in the UK on the back of a lorry in 2021 and, with limited formal cricket training, became the star bowler when former England captain Andrew Flintoff cobbled together a team of disadvantaged boys in Preston.
He spoke then about the dream of playing cricket professionally in England.
That dream moved a step closer this week after he made his debut for Lancashire’s Second XI.

The Commanders‘ starting right guard tore an ACL in the Washington upset win over the Detroit Lions in the playoffs.
The Commanders had jumped out on top of the Lions early in the second quarter on their way to their 45-31 win in Detroit. However, in the second quarter, Cosmi suddenly fell. It was his ACL. He did not return and will most likely not be returning until later in the 2025 season.

Former Manchester United assistant manager Mitchell van der Gaag says “mentally strong” Rasmus Hojlund can still come good at Old Trafford.
Hojlund, 22, scored only his fourth Premier League goal of the season when equalising late on at Bournemouth on Sunday.
However, his lack of output has led United to add both Wolves striker Matheus Cunha and Ipswich‘s Liam Delap to their summer shortlist.

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after falling 20 feet from a stand onto the field of play at a Pittsburgh Pirates Major League Baseball game.
The spectator fell over the railing at the Pirates’ PNC Park during the seventh innings of the match against the Chicago Cubs.
He received treatment from emergency services and the two teams’ medical staff before being taken to Allegheny General Hospital, the Pirates said.

Former Manchester United assistant manager Mitchell van der Gaag says criticism from “media and social media” has impacted everyone at Old Trafford, including goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Onana was described as “one of the worst keepers” in the club’s history by the former United midfielder Nemanja Matic.
The Cameroon international has made nine errors leading to goals in all competitions and Van der Gaag thinks the pressure weighs heavily.
“It’s an emotional rollercoaster [being a goalkeeper for United],” he said.
