While the vast majority of NFL fans and the entire population of Philadelphia disagreed with the late holding penalty on James Bradberry in the Super Bowl, the Eagles’ corner admitted that he was trying to get away with one on the play.
With the game tied 35-35 with just under two minutes left in regulation, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw an incomplete pass intended for JuJu Smith-Schuster on 3rd and 8.
It looked as if the Eagles were about to get the ball back with a chance to win it, but then the flag came out with Bradberry being called for holding.

The Kansas City right tackle stood tall on the biggest stage
We need to show Kansas City Chiefs right tackle Andrew Wylie some love.
In the buildup to Super Bowl LVII, supposedly smart people — like myself — argued that the Philadelphia Eagles defensive front would be a huge different in the game. Notably, the matchup between Eagles pass rusher Haason Reddick, and Wylie, the Chiefs right tackle.
With 13 of Reddick’s 16 sacks this season coming over the right tackle, this was a matchup that could tilt the course of Super Bowl LVII.
It certainly did.
Terry Bradshaw poked a little fun at Andy Reid’s weight after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs took care of business Sunday night against the Eagles to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, and Bradshaw was feeling himself while conducting the postgame interviews.
Specifically, he took a little jab at Reid being on the heftier side.

“Let me get the big guy in here. Come on, waddle over here,” Bradshaw told Reid with a slight chuckle in his voice.

It wasn’t enough to get the Eagles a win, but Hurts balled out.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named MVP of Super Bowl LVII, but the award could very well have gone to his Philadelphia Eagles counterpart: Jalen Hurts was outstanding, even though his team eventually lost with a final score of 38-35.
The Eagles’ third-year QB was arguably the best player on the field on Sunday.
Jackson Mahomes was just as cringe as expected after the Chiefs beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Patrick Mahomes’ brother is known for being just awful and unbearable. While Patrick Mahomes seems like a great guy, his wife and brother make cheering for the Chiefs borderline impossible.
People were pulling for the Eagles just to shut up Jackson Mahomes. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and the aftermath was brutal.
Jackson Mahomes is the king of cringe.
Somehow, Mahomes’ little brother found himself on the field after the game and decided to film a pair of TikToks.
Jalen Hurts was electric in the Super Bowl, leaving even Patrick Mahomes awestruck, but it wasn’t enough to hoist the Lombardi Trophy — this time.
Philadelphia will likely lose both of its coordinators. Plus, a closer look at the hiring process in Indianapolis, the coaching carousel is still spinning, what’s next for Derek Carr and much more.
It’s disappointing that the 2022 Eagles will be remembered for the flag that was thrown on the play where their shot at a world title went away. Because that Philly team was talented, balanced, well-coached, well-constructed—it had just about everything, including a quarterback who could go blow for blow with Patrick Mahomes.
Jalen Hurts was absolutely spectacular.
Patrick Mahomes overcame an injured ankle with a vintage second-half performance for the Chiefs’ second Super Bowl win in four years.
Social media melted down after a defensive holding call ensured the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win. Funny thing is, the Eagles weren’t among the many folks complaining.
Jalen Hurts was arguably the best player in Super Bowl LVII. His Eagles lost to the Chiefs, but there’s no question now that Hurts is one of the NFL’s best players.
