We’re almost through the wild card round of the Major League Baseball playoffs, and television ratings are already way up from previous seasons. And there’s plenty more fascinating matchups and potential matchups coming.
Through Wednesday on ESPN/ABC, wild card round games are averaging 2.62 million viewers, which is up 16 percent from the same time frame in the 2023 postseason. Game two between the New York Mets and the Milwaukee Brewers was the most watched MLB game of the season thus far, with 3.70 million viewers.

Gary Woodland’s confidence continues to rise especially after a solid day to start the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Gary Woodland signed for a bogey-free 8-under 64 to start the Sanderson Farms Championship on a high note.
It has been a little over a year since Woodland had brain surgery last September to remove a benign lesion. He returned to the PGA Tour in early January 2024 at the Sony Open, but it has taken a while for him to put it all together.
Woodland has 22 starts in the year, with just one Top 25 finish.
Many fans believe that the NFL’s decision to suspend Chargers safety Derwin James for one game after a hit on a Steelers player in Week 3 was unfair.
Some fans were unhappy because James was already sidelined for the Chargers’ game against the Chiefs in Week 4, leading to speculation that the league favored Kansas City.

In other words, Hill says it is irresponsible for journalists to tell the truth.
“I keep seeing irresponsible headlines claiming the WNBA playoffs are down because of no Caitlin Clark,” Hill posted on X Thursday. “Would the ratings be higher if she were in it? Of course. But guess what, a Finals would rate higher if it were Lebron vs Steph. Or, if big market teams were in the mix.
