Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored one of the great Champions League goals as Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-1 in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Wednesday.
Morgan Rogers had given Villa a 35th-minute lead at the Parc des Princes to silence the home fans, but PSG were quickly back level through a fine strike by Desire Doue.

Dwight Howard might be done with the NBA, but he still has one more season of professional basketball left in the tank. The 2025 Hall of Fame inductee is headed to the BIG3.
Howard will play for the Los Angeles Riot as the 3-on-3 league switches to a city-based model for the first time.
BIG3 creator and CEO Ice Cube announced the move on Wednesday.
“On behalf of the entire league, I want to be the first one to welcome Dwight Howard to the BIG3,” Ice Cube said in a statement. “His legacy speaks for itself, and he still has fun playing the game.

PSG illustrated why they are one of the big favourites to win this year’s Champions League with an impressive 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the French capital.
Brilliant goals from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes more than cancelled out Morgan Rogers’ opener for the visitors, who now have a mountain to climb if they are to make the last four.
Usually, when NBA teams find themselves in the bottom half of the league, they have the draft lottery to look forward to.
Take the New Orleans Pelicans, who are currently projected to pick fourth. Their situation couldn’t be more straightforward. They had a miserable season, in large part due to myriad injuries, and as a direct result, they’ll likely get a fairly high first-round pick in this summer’s NBA Draft.
The final week of the NBA regular season has never been quite like this one. There’s an unprecedented playoff push going on in the Western Conference, with just two games separating seeds three through eight and a remarkable four-way tie between seeds four through eight entering Wednesday’s action.
Never mind that seeding also remains largely up for grabs in the Eastern Conference, even though the top six playoff teams and four play-in tournament participants have all clinched spots in the postseason.
CHICAGO (AP) — Texas shortstop Corey Seager homered twice as the Rangers avoided a sweep in Chicago, beating the Cubs 6-2 on Wednesday.
The two-time World Series MVP opened the game with a solo shot to left-center, and then lined another solo home run to right field in the seventh to put the Rangers up five. It was Seager’s 18th career game with multiple home runs and his first since August 19, 2024.
Rangers pitcher Tyler Mahle (2-0) held Chicago to just two hits in seven innings. The right-hander allowed one earned run and lowered his season ERA to 1.32.
