UW-Green Bay coach Doug Gottlieb’s midweek Super Bowl trip is offering up some very tough optics.
Gottlieb is in his first season as the head basketball coach of the Phoenix…..and it’s been a disaster. Despite being a major name and a former college star, he simply hasn’t translated to the coaching game.
Not even a little bit.
How bad is it? The Phoenix are 2-22 with just seven games left in the season. The team’s two wins are against Western Illinois and SIUE. The team’s second win of the season came all the way back on November 19th.

A family near Philadelphia reportedly has quite the good luck charm for the Super Bowl, and it’s a pretty cool piece of football history.
According to an article in The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Edelsteins spend their Sundays watching Eagles games with the Birds’ 1960 NFL Championship trophy sitting on their couch with them, an incredible relic from the team’s history that was passed through their family.
