We’re just a few days into the regular season, and the Chicago White Sox are already embarrassing themselves.
Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels was delayed when rain and hail began pouring down at Rate Field in the bottom of the seventh inning. Then, the wind started whipping through the Windy City.
Apparently, though, the White Sox grounds crew forgot to check the forecast — because they looked woefully unprepared for the sudden downpour.

PALM BEACH – Mike Tomlin once famously said he wants players who are volunteers who want to play for him rather than hostages forced to play for him. Well, now the shoe is on the other foot with Tomlin and the Steelers held hostage by a protracted Rodgers decision.
Tomlin is apparently like all the rest of us in that he doesn’t know exactly what Rodgers is going to do and the timing for the quarterback doing it. 
And if he does know (he doesn’t) he wasn’t sharing it Sunday at the NFL annual meeting.

Alex Ovechkin has scored career goal No. 890 for the Washington Capitals, putting him five away from breaking Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL record of 894.
Ovechkin scored the goal in the third period of the Capitals’ 8-5 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday afternoon, getting a key deflection off a pass from Rasmus Sandin. The legendary winger also picked up two assists in the loss.

No. 10 Tennessee (29-7, 5-4 SEC) defeated No. 2 Oklahoma (31-3, 9-3 SEC) Sunday at Love’s Field in Norman, Oklahoma.
With the victory, the Lady Vols clinched the series against Oklahoma, who went 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Oklahoma lost an SEC series for the first time in program history.
Oklahoma led, 3-0, scoring three runs in the third inning. Tennessee posted the comeback victory as it scored five runs in the third inning with redshirt freshman second baseman Ella Dodge hitting a three-run home run and senior shortstop Laura Mealer hitting a two-run double.

Rory McIlroy is officially on to the Masters.
McIlroy polished off his debut in the Texas Children’s Houston Open with a 6-under 64 on Sunday at Memorial Park, his last round before his first round at Augusta National in 11 days. Though he missed a 4-footer for par at the last, McIlroy still carded six birdies and an eagle.
“It was a pretty decent score,” McIlroy said afterward. “A little disappointing with how I finished, but overall, pretty happy with how the week went.”
McIlroy got off to a slow start with an opening 70 on Thursday.
