Florida men’s basketball head coach Todd Golden said Saturday during a championship celebration that sophomore forward Alex Condon will test the 2025 NBA draft.
Condon was named to the All-SEC second team by USA TODAY, averaging 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 blocks on 49.3% shooting from the field. He ranked third in the conference in total rebounds (279) and seventh in blocked shots (49).
The 6-foot-11 forward scored in double figures 19 times to help the Gators to their third title, including a season-high 27 points and 10 rebounds on March 5 in a win over Alabama.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Gerardo Valenzuela scored in the first half of his first start of the season and Roman Celentano made it stand up for FC Cincinnati in a 1-0 victory over D.C. United on Saturday night.
It was the third straight victory for Cincinnati (5-2-1) and the fourth loss in a row for DC United (1-4-3).
Cincinnati scored the lone goal in the 29th minute when Valenzuela scored unassisted in his first start this season. It was the second career goal for the 20-year-old midfielder after making 11 starts in 30 appearances as a rookie last season.

LeBron James will not play in the Los Angeles Lakers‘ regular-season finale on Sunday, which means his 22nd NBA regular season is fully in the books. He will end it averaging 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds a game while shooting 51.3% from the field and 37.6% from 3-point range.
He seems to have gained some peace of mind from the arrival of Luka Doncic, which has lifted a great deal of the burden of running L.A.’s offense off his shoulders.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Pep Biel scored a goal, Kristijan Kahlina had two saves and Charlotte FC beat CF Montreal 1-0 on Saturday.
Kahlina has three shutouts this season for Charlotte (5-2-1).
Biel had a shot from the right corner of the 6-yard box blocked by defender George Campbell, but the rebound bounced back to Biel for a one-touch finish inside the back post.
Montreal (0-6-2), playing at home after seven consecutive road games to open the season, had 65% possession and outshot Charlotte 19-8.

Everyone loves a good bit of Major League Baseball fan interference (kidding), but we had a bizarre moment between a player and a fan on Saturday in Houston when a fan appeared to take a ball right out of Los Angeles Angels star outfielder Mike Trout’s glove.
And the result? Nothing to see here. Just a foul ball.
It happened with the Angels, a team that has gotten off to one of the hottest starts in baseball — I know, I can’t believe I just typed that either, but good for them — leading the Astros 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
