First, she embraced head coach Geno Auriemma near the scorer’s table as play continued behind her. She carried on down through coaches and teammates and personnel, attempting to encapsulate entire relationships into five-second hugs. The family and friends stood rows deep behind them, as they had for most of the second half. The arena was deep into a celebration nearly a decade in waiting.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Tage Thompson had a hat trick, Jason Zucker scored the go-ahead goal early in the the third period and the Buffalo Sabres beat the Boston Bruins 6-3 on Sunday night fourth their fourth straight victory.
Thompson extended his scoring streak to four games with his first goal in the second period after the Bruins took an early 2-0 lead. Thompson scored again on a breakaway early in the third period, and got his 43rd goal of the season into the empty net in the final minute.
Alex Tuch and Rasmus Dahlin each had a goal and an assist.

Paycor Stadium of the Cincinnati Bengals is one of the many places in the tri-state area impacted by flooding as severe storms and floods sweep the South and Midwest.
As onlookers shared on social media, the parking lots outside of Paycor Stadium were submerged as the Ohio River surged to record highs since the stadium itself was constructed.
