NFL teams get it wrong all the time. Eagle-eyed general managers and their vast scouting departments, with the help of well-trained coaching staffs, all working for billion-dollar organizations, swing and miss a lot.
A lot.
They study tape for weeks, then invest high draft picks on rookies or big money on free agents to find the quarterback meant to change the direction of the franchise.
And after staking their reputations and jobs on those decisions, they sometimes come to the conclusion they got it wrong – when, in fact, thinking they got it wrong may be wrong.

Montana State’s practice scene was about as beautiful as you’ll ever see in college sports.
The Bobcats play North Dakota State this upcoming Monday in the FCS national title game, and it should be a great battle.
MSU and superstar QB Tommy Mellott are 15-0 and the Bison are an impressive 13-2. Both are FCS powers, and it will soon be time to crown a national champion.
Ahead of playing the title game in Frisco, Texas, the Bobcats got some more practice reps in at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman…..and they did it in the snow.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was fired up after the Lions beat the 49ers.
Campbell and the Lions improved to 14-2 on the season with the 40-34 Monday night win, and will now play the Minnesota Vikings for the number one seed in the NFC.
There’s no doubt the franchise has been completely rebuilt and turned around during Campbell’s tenure.
What can you count on from Dan Campbell after big wins? A great locker room speech. The game against the 49ers ultimately met nothing.

Three of the four division titles have been determined, with the AFC North to be determined in Week 18. The Pittsburgh Steelers sit behind the Baltimore Ravens for that spot, but they have already clinched a wild card berth.
