STARKVILLE — Mississippi State women’s basketball starting center Madina Okot has entered the transfer portal, a team spokesperson told the Clarion Ledger on Friday.
It’s a big loss for the Bulldogs and coach Sam Purcell, who are now slated to lose their top four scorers from this season’s team that reached the NCAA tournament second round.
Okot joined MSU (22-12) this season from Kenya and broke out as a dominant post player. The 6-foot-6 center started all 34 games and averaged 11.3 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
