Wisconsin basketball has its first transfer commitment of the 2025 offseason: Virginia guard Andrew Rohde.
Rohde chose the Badgers over apparent top contender Iowa State, plus other power-conference options.
The Brookfield, Wisconsin, native began his college career at St. Thomas in 2022-23, instantly breaking out with per-game averages of 32.9 minutes, 17.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals. He then transferred to Virginia before the 2023-24 season.
With the Cavaliers, the 6-foot-6 sharpshooter appeared in 63 total games over two seasons, starting 53. He averaged just 4.

Apr. 3—MITCHELL — The 2025 Dakota Wesleyan University football schedule is set.
Year Two of the Alex Kretzschmar Era will commence with the annual rivalry game for the Chamber of Commerce trophy against Dakota State at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Joe Quintal Field. Last season, the Trojans reclaimed the trophy with a convincing 34-3 victory in Madison.
The Tigers will open Great Plains Athletic Conference play with four of their first five games away from Mitchell, beginning with contests against Dordt (Iowa) on Sept. 6 and Concordia (Neb.) on Sept.

In addition to being an all-league defensive player and scoring his 1,000th career point, the 6-foot-3 guard led the KVAC in scoring (22.4 points) and was second in steals (3.3), sixth in rebounding (9.3) and fifth in assists (4.4).
