The San Antonio Spurs had nearly 70,000 fans in attendance last night in their return to the Alamodome, setting an NBA regular-season record.
San Antonio returned to their former arena to celebrate their 50th Anniversary as a franchise as they took on the Golden State Warriors.
The final tally of attendance was 68,323 – easily surpassing the previous record of 62,046 who went to see Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls play the Atlanta Hawks back in 1998 at the Georgia Dome.

Jay Withey will be going to the Super Bowl after saving dozens of lives during a snowstorm in Buffalo.
Withey jumped into action on Christmas Eve as a snowstorm hammered the Buffalo region, and the brave man saved 24 people, according to ESPN.
Withey eventually broke into a school with two strangers in order to survive, and then featured out into the winter hell to bring more people to safety. Seven of the people he saved were elderly people stranded in their vehicles. At least 39 people died in the storm that hit Erie County, according to ABC News.

Welcome to the playoffs football fans, we made it. I’ve got to admit, as random at the 2022 season was, it definitely feels like much of this weekend has already been decided. It’s not necessarily that teams coasted into the playoffs without deserving it, but more that particularly in the AFC the injury bug has bitten two teams, at the worst time, at the worst position.

When the season started, exactly zero rookie quarterbacks were in the starting lineup.

It should feel kind of the same for the San Francisco 49ers and the Miami Dolphins as they head into their playoff games this weekend.
No, really.
Think about it: The Dolphins will start their third-string quarterback on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills because starter Tua Tagovailoa is out with a concussion and second-stringer Teddy Bridgewater is managing a dislocated finger in his right (throwing) hand.
That means Skylar Thompson, a rookie quarterback drafted in the seventh round, is Miami’s starter.
The 49ers are in the same situation.
