For the first time in nearly five seasons, the NBA’s ratings are increasing.
On Saturday, the Lakers-Celtics matchup drew 4.61 million viewers on ABC, marking the most-watched non-Christmas regular-season NBA game since 2018.
Two weeks prior, the Lakers-Mavericks game on TNT, Luka Doncic’s first game against his former team, averaged 2.5 million viewers. At the time, it was the most-watched non-Christmas game of the season behind Opening Night.
In December, NBA ratings on ESPN were down around 28% year over year.

F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali is going to be in his role for a few more years
Stefano Domenicali is going to stay in his current role with Formula 1 for a few more years.
In a statement Wednesday ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix Liberty Media announced that Domenicali would continue as the President and CEO of F1 for an additional five years, extending his term through the 2029 season. Since taking on that role at the start of 2021, Domenicali has ushered in a new era of global growth for the sport, including expansion in the United States.

Practice rounds on the PGA Tour are typically laid back and relaxed, but things went from zero to one-hundred in a hurry for a fan who decided to chirp Rory McIlroy at TPC Sawgrass.
In what appears to be a video captured during Tuesday’s practice round ahead of this week’s Players, McIlroy walks over to a fan, asks for his phone, and simply starts walking away with it in one of the most bizarre scenes you’ll ever see.
