LIV Golf officials have decided to mix things up, hoping to allure more American golf fans for its first event of the year.
LIV Golf is going under the lights.
According to LIV Golf’s official website, the season-opening event in Riyadh, scheduled for Feb. 6 to 8, will begin at 6:15 p.m. local time in Saudi Arabia.
The season began with a cautionary tale from Nick Saban about Ohio State’s $20 million roster.
During the 2020 PGA Tour season, Justin Thomas was on the record saying that he had zero interest in wearing a mic during a tournament, specifically saying “that’s not me.” Fast-forward to today, and it appears that he’s had an awakening and realized that players need to better connect with fans to continue growing the game and the reach of the Tour.
Thomas’ plea for his fellow Tour players needing to be open to giving more access to the media didn’t come from some quick soundbite during a press conference, either, he sent a memo to the PGA Tour membership.
We’re about a year away from the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, but last summer’s Summer Olympics in Paris is still grabbing headlines.
Or, more specifically, the sorry condition of a lot of the medals is grabbing headlines.
According to The New York Post, luxury brand owner LVMH is fending off claims that it is to blame for some serious issues with some of the medals dished out at the Games, specifically bronze ones.
A reported 100 athletes who took home bronze medals have requested replacements after the medals displayed extreme degradation.
