At one point during his conversation with reporters this week, Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie was asked about the team’s upcoming White House visit. And a member of the media asked Lurie what he’d tell fans who “take offense” to the team “embracing” President Donald Trump?
“This is really just an invitation from the White House,” Lurie answered. “That’s all this is, and we’re not politicizing it in any way. Not for us.”

Alpine driver Pierre Gasly remains ‘confident’ despite team’s slow start in 2025
One of the hottest teams down the closing stretch of the 2024 Formula 1 season? That was Alpine. After a slow start a year ago the Enstone-based operation rocketed up the standings in the closing weeks, climbing from the back of the grid to finish sixth in the 2024 Constructors’ Championship race.
However, that strong finish has yet to carry over to the 2025 campaign.

Well, he finally did it. Nearly five years later, Bubba Wallace has addressed the “noose” controversy that NASCAR nearly turned into a full-on race-war in the summer of 2020.
And by “noose,” I mean a … “a garage door pull rope fashioned like a noose.” Those are the FBI’s words – not mine. So, yeah. Not a noose! Not even close.
Unless you ask ESPN and the AP, of course. They still call it a noose. Not me. Not OutKick. Not the FBI.

Nell Fortner is stepping away from Georgia Tech after three NCAA Tournament appearances in six seasons. Here’s who could replace her.
Two months after signing a contract extension that would have kept her in midtown Atlanta through 2030, Georgia Tech head coach Nell Fortner announced her retirement on Monday after six seasons leading the Yellow Jackets.
Fortner, 66, was hired at Georgia Tech in 2019 to clean up the program after former coach MaChelle Joseph was fired amid a scandal.

It may look like a bit of a reach, but this pick fills a key need in making the Patriots offense competitive.
The New England Patriots hired Mike Vrabel earlier this offseason to be their next head coach. Normally that comes with plenty of changes, but Robert Kraft continues to try and copy that same magic that worked under Bill Belichick by hiring another former Patriots player to lead the team.
This time around, it’s a coach with a wealth of experience and success in the NFL.

Cooper Flagg might be the best American-born basketball prospect since LeBron James entered the 2003 NBA Draft. That’s a bold claim to make against the likes of Anthony Davis at Kentucky, Zion Williamson at Duke, Greg Oden at Ohio State, and Derrick Rose at Memphis, but Flagg has put himself in that conversation during an electric freshman year.
Flagg has been the best player in college basketball this season despite being one of the youngest players in the sport.
