While all the attention at the Masters is rightfully on Rory McIlroy, who overcame some terrible shots to finally capture the career grand slam, there was a subplot playing out at the end of the tournament that involved Ludvig Åberg.
With McIlroy melting down on the back nine, making an inexplicable double-bogey on the par-5 13th hole followed by a bogey on the par-4 14th, Åberg suddenly found himself in a three-way tie at the top with McIlroy and Justin Rose. All three players had a score of 10-under-par at that point.

Before the start of Sunday’s final round at the 2025 Masters, the buzz around Augusta National was in the air. Would Rory McIlroy, who started the final round with a two-shot lead over Bryson DeChambeau, finally win the green jacket and complete the career grand slam, or, as he did at the 2024 U.S. Open, would DeChambeau deny McIlroy and win another major?

Shaquille O’Neal — the iconic center for the Lakers and Magic, and part-time DJ — attended the star-studded fight night at Miami’s Kaseya Center and appeared to have a tense run-in with controversial online streamer Adin Ross.
Footage captured by Ross shows O’Neal staring him down, mouthing what seemed like threats, with the K-word (kill) apparently thrown in by Shaq, with a slashing-throat gesture.
The two have clashed before, with Ross previously taking jabs at O’Neal online.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Where can you even begin on the rollercoaster that was Rory McIlroy’s final round at the 2025 Masters.
At the bottom of Rae’s Creek or the top of the golfing pantheon?
Hell, the first four holes were a whirlwind of their own. So was the 18th hole. So was the playoff — the first playoff at Augusta National since 2017, when Sergio Garcia defeated Justin Rose.
And yes, there was Rose again — a thorn in McIlroy’s side.
