Sometimes the college football season comes first, before family obligations. We’ve all been there, wanting to just enjoy a win by calling into a postgame radio show, hoping to not be interrupted by anybody in the process.
Come on, it’s football time. Some folks prioritize this over other things that might be important, like helping your father-in-law with some chores outside, or sitting down for dinner with the family.

One of the weirder stories of the summer was when Nebraska freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola rolled into training camp looking like he was cosplaying as Kansas City Chiefs signal caller Patrick Mahomes.
Of course, we were all talking about the resemblance, and Raiola was even asked about it, telling the media that he thought it was “cool.“
Which it is. Anytime someone says you resemble the best QB in the game it’s cool, even if they’re only saying that because you both have the same haircut.

Scheffler recorded another strong round at East Lake as 18 holes stand between him and his first Tour Championship win.
Scottie Scheffler looks like a man on a mission at the Tour Championship. He recorded a 5-under 66 for the second day in a row to sit at 26-under overall and hold a five-shot lead over Collin Morikawa.
Scheffler opened his day with a bogey, but he kept it clean after that.
He recorded six birdies, including four in his last five holes. However, he only called the day “solid.
The San Francisco 49ers do not start their season until Monday, but one of their rookies has suffered an injury in the most unfortunate of circumstances.
Ricky Pearsall, who played his college ball with the Florida Gators, was shot in a robbery attempt in San Francisco’s Union Square. Dion Lim of KGO-TV initially reported the incident.
Since Lim’s initial report, more information has been shared regarding Pearsall’s condition. Evidently, he is in stable condition at a local hospital, and the suspect is in custody, being treated for a wound to his chest.
