Zdeno Chara spent 24 seasons in the National Hockey League, appearing in 1,680 games and averaging 23:30 minutes a night.
That’s a lot of mileage, so you’d understand if in retirement he’d want to chill out and maybe play the occasional round of golf (by the way, can you imagine the size of his clubs?) but that’s not the Big Z way. Several of the top 2025 recruits in the country found their next home this past month.
August was a busy month for the Class of 2025 when it came to college football recruiting, as several of the top recruits in the country came off the board and committed to a program.
Eight recruits, four on offense and four on defense, ranked in the Top 20 of a major recruiting site ultimately made their decision to commit, so let’s break down each situation and what each player brings to their next team.

I have no idea what the Charlotte 49ers were doing over the past four weeks of fall camp, but it sounds like they put in a little too much work as they prepared for the 2024 season.
Known as one of the best dressers in college football, I’m kidding by the way, Charlotte head coach Biff Poggi said that his team will be without close to 50% of its starters for the season opener against James Madison on Saturday.
That is an insane number of players to be without, especially when coaches are doing their best to keep their star players from getting hurt or banged up during fall camp.
People wanting to see the final regular season matchup between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will have to spend significant money.
Clark and the Fever are riding high over the past couple months and the Sky are currently fighting like dogs to secure a playoff spot.
The two teams will meet for the final time in the regular season on Friday in Chicago, and the atmosphere is going to be electric, judging from the ticket prices.
