Portland State basketball hit the most insane buzzer-beater of the year thus far on Saturday. Northern Arizona was absolutely stunned after hitting a buzzer-beater of its own.
The game was seemingly in hand for Portland State after it went up 86-78 with 1:21 remaining in regulation. And then the Vikings went ice cold.
They did not score over the course of the next 80.6 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Lumberjacks pushed back with three quick buckets and cut the deficit to two with about seven seconds remaining. To try and keep the game alive, they fouled.

No. 15 Villanova cruised to a 99–65 victory over Seton Hall on Saturday thanks to star Maddy Siegrist’s career-high 50 points.
Siegrist went 20-of-26 from the floor (76.9%), including 4-of-6 from three on Saturday and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wildcats, who were paced by her outstanding play. Maddie Burke added 12 points for the Wildcats, who shot 64.4% from the floor as a team in the win.
Duke basketball may have been robbed of game-winning free throw attempts at the end of regulation on Saturday. The Blue Devils surely won’t garner much sympathy, but the controversial sequence will surely not go over well in Durham.
