Diamond Sports, the owner of the Bally Sports networks, has been fighting to emerge from bankruptcy and retain the rights to continue broadcasting sports on its regional sports stations. With Diamond needing hundreds of millions of dollars to continue operating, and Amazon looking to expand in the streaming sports world, it looked at first glance to be a match made in heaven.

Denver Nuggets newcomer Russell Westbrook said there is zero bad blood against teammate Christian Braun over an alleged jersey number dilemma.
On Tuesday, Westbrook reportedly made his jersey number official in Denver, choosing No. 4, which is a huge departure from his famous “0” look.
Denver currently has Kansas grad Christian Braun wearing No. 0. 
A rumor arose that the veteran Westbrook asked Braun to surrender No. 0, which Braun allegedly refused.

The state of regional broadcasts in the NHL is in flux as Diamond Sports — which owns all the Bally Sports networks across the country — continues to find itself in financial trouble.
However, despite Bally still gearing up to broadcast some teams’ games this season, others are jumping ship and the latest to do that is the Anaheim Ducks.

Ex-Sooners running back and NFL Pro Bowl player DeMarco Murray received a one-game suspension from the NCAA after violating COVID-era recruiting guidelines while working as a member of Oklahoma’s coaching staff. Murray, hailed as an elite runner for the Cowboys and Titans in his NFL days, now works as the running backs coach in Norman (joining in 2020).
According to the NCAA’s announcement Tuesday, Murray “impermissibly contacted 17 prospects over 16 months, including 65 impermissible phone calls and 36 impermissible text messages.
