The last time the NFL talked about Brazil was last week to laud its new partnership with the South American country that will be on display Friday when the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers play a regular-season game in São Paulo.
“You all know the major focus we have on growing the game globally for the league and the 32 clubs and expanding our presence in more key markets,” NFL executive vice president Peter O’Reilly said.
“…Brazil’s a very important market in helping to realize that global growth.

Social media is on fire after Boston College upset Florida State.
The Eagles entered the game as significant underdogs, but walked off the field with a 28-13 win against the Seminoles.
There was no point of the game where it felt like FSU was ever in control. Boston College simply controlled all aspects of the game, and Florida State is now 0-2 to start the season.
It’s a tough time for head coach Mike Norvell and his players. It’s going to get a lot tougher if they decide to hop on social media.

College football fans have a new insult.
Week one is officially in the books after a truly awesome weekend of action. The games were great, the grill was hot, the beers were cold and it feels great to finally be back.
One of the best parts about college football is the trash talking fans do. It’s in our DNA as fans. We see a fan of a team we don’t like and you better believe we’re going to start cooking them.

The minute fans started chanting ‘We Want Brock’, as in backup quarterback Brock Glenn, in the third quarter of an ugly loss that drastically changed the outlook on the 2024 season.
A few plays after DJ Uiagalelei threw his second interception of the game, Florida State fans in attendance were showering the field with boo’s, along with airing their grievances with this Mike Norvell offense.

The F1 Italian Grand Prix might have seen the move of the season on the opening lap
In the hours since the dramatic Italian Grand Prix, the Formula 1 world has been deep in debate over how McLaren is handling the 2024 season. With the Woking-based team chasing down Red Bull in the Constructors’ Championship, and Lando Norris attempting the same with Max Verstappen in the Drivers’ Championship, how the team handles those dual tasks has dominated the conversation.
USC players twisted the knife into LSU after beating the Tigers.
The Trojans pulled off an impressive 27-20 upset win over the Tigers to open the season in Las Vegas. It was an awesome game, and another brutal start to the season for Brian Kelly.
However, the fireworks didn’t end on the field. They carried into the locker room.
A viral video circulating the web shows USC players mocking LSU’s notorious “Get the Gat” song celebration. The celebration is one of the most famous parts of the LSU fandom.

The New York Yankees‘ superstar broke the American League single-season home run record against the Texas Rangers in the penultimate game of the 2022 season. The homer that sealed it came during the first inning of the second game of a doubleheader. The home run broke the record of Roger Maris, who had held the record since 1961.
