After the Oilers won Game 4 at home to push the NHL Stanley Cup Final back to Florida, they forced Game 6 with a 5-3 win over the Florida Panthers to keep their title hopes alive.
Edmonton star Connor McDavid was huge again for the Oilers, making NHL history as he notched a “three-point period” in Game 5.

The Minnesota Vikings drafted J.J. McCarthy and Dallas Turner in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft because both are incredible athletes on the football field. Turner was one of the top pass rushers in this draft class, and is coming off an 11-sack season for Alabama. McCarthy was part of a deep quarterback crop, and helped the Michigan Wolverines to a National Championship a season ago.

The Stanley Cup Final is headed back to Edmonton, as the Oilers became just the fourth team in NHL history to force a Game 6 after dropping the first three games of the series. Edmonton’s 5-3 road win on Tuesday night keeps their title dreams alive, and extends their season by at least one more game.
In the win, Connor McDavid made some NHL history of his own.

An 18-game NFL season is probably inevitable. Here are three ways the league can make it work.
The NFL is inching closer and closer to an expanded schedule, which will likely mean an 18th game is coming in the not-so-distant future.
In an April interview with ESPN’s Pat McAfee, commissioner Roger Goodell said the conversation surrounding an extra game has already begun.
“If we got to 18 (regular season) and 2 (preseason games), that’s not an unreasonable thing,” Goodell said.
