A day after Charles Barkley complained (again) about being left in the dark about TNT’s negotiations with the NBA, the Wall Street Journal reports the league is close to moving on from the network.
FanDuel could soon have its name all over Major League Baseball broadcasts, according to several new reports.
The company, which started out as a daily fantasy sports site before branching out into sports betting, is nearing a deal to take over for Bally Sports as the named brand for the Diamond Sports Group regional television networks. Diamond infamously declared bankruptcy in 2023, leading to MLB taking over broadcasting duties for several of its teams.

Viktor Hovland, the defending champion at the Memorial Tournament, has had a subpar start to his 2024 season. But he returns to Muirfield Village, where he beat Denny McCarthy in a playoff, fresh off a solid performance at the PGA Championship.

Formula 1’s Canadian Grand Prix is this weekend, and as we’ve seen a few times over the last year or so, there’s going to be some innovation on the trophy design front.
Last season, the Japanese Grand Prix featured a smoochable trophy that lit up in the colors of the winner’s home country’s flag.
Then at the Chinese Grand Prix earlier this season, we got a wearable trophy that did pretty much the same thing.
Now? We’ve got a trophy “inspired” by artificial intelligence, and honestly, it was only a matter of time.
