Legendary quarterback Tom Brady has announced his retirement after 23 seasons in the NFL, a year to the day after last year’s short-lived decision to leave the game.
“I’m retiring. For good,” he said in a video posted to his social media accounts. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,”

While Tom Brady’s NFL career may be over, LeBron James is still going strong, and has no plans of stepping away anytime soon. He confirmed as much on Tuesday night, when asked about his pursuit of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA all-time scoring record.
Abdul-Jabbar, another Lakers legend, finished his career with 38,387 points, a mark that seemed unreachable for years. James entered the season at 37,062, and the 38-year-old continues to play at an elite level.

Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills was indicted on one count of rape and one count of kidnapping in Ohio on Wednesday, the state’s attorney general announced.
Sills, 25, was indicted on one count of rape and one count of kidnapping, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Guernsey County Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden said in a news release. Both charges are first-degree felonies.
The indictment stems from an incident in December 2019. Sills allegedly “engaged in sexual activity that was not consensual and held a victim against her will,” officials said.

Tom Brady’s defining football characteristic was his ability to make the correct choice: to change the play before the snap, to throw to the right receiver, to get rid of the ball when nothing was there, to manage end-of-game situations in real time. It is appropriate, then, that he ultimately retired at precisely the right time, too. After the longest career of any non-kicker in history, Brady stuck the landing.

The NFL world learned Wednesday morning that they had already watched Tom Brady play the last game of his historic career. Brady’s retirement is the end of an era for the NFL, and this time it appears to be for good. Paying homage to Brady, the NFL posted a video of the legendary quarterback jogging off the gridiron for what will be the final time. 
His last game came on Jan. 16 when the Buccaneers played the Cowboys and lost 31–14 in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Now that he’s retired, Fox has a dilemma regarding its No. 1 NFL booth.
1. I already covered the dilemma Fox has on its hands regarding its No. 1 NFL broadcast crew. Tom Brady signed a contract to become the network’s lead analyst when he retired. And Brady retired (again) Wednesday morning.
The problem for Fox is that Greg Olsen, who currently works with Kevin Burkhardt on the A crew, has improved immensely over the season, especially shining during the postseason, while also becoming a fan favorite.

MOBILE – There’s only so much former Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker can do while at the Senior Bowl. But, this hasn’t stopped him from trying to elevate his draft stock.
Coming off a torn ACL, suffered November 19th against South Carolina, Hooker is steadfast in his recovery, even while he’s meeting with NFL teams in Mobile. Wearing a massive brace on his knee, Hooker emerged from the tunnel during the first Senior Bowl practice with a smile on his face.
