Collisions are a regular part of hockey – between players. But when one happens between players and a referee, it’s far more serious.
That unfortunate scenario unfolded in a game Monday between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Colorado Avalanche.
Colorado forward Josh Manson was skating toward the blue line, and referee Mitch Dunning was skating away from a puck battle along the end boards. Dunning and Manson’s paths unfortunately crossed – with both men unaware of the fact that they were about to collide.

The Cowboys have been cursed since before Monday Night Football’s showdown against the Houston Texans when a piece of AT&T Stadium fell off and nearly hit people below. No injuries occurred.

What would you do if you found out you were named the rookie of the year in the MLB?
I know if it were me, I’d jump around and scream so my neighbors could hear me. Bottles, tvs, and probably at least one bone would be broken from all the rambunctious and reckless celebrating I’d do.
But Paul Skenes took a far, far more measured approach to the announcement. 
Cal Ripken Jr. announced on live TV that Skenes won the Jackie Robinson National League Rookie of the Year, and the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher was at home with his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne.
