There’s only one Grand Prix left before Formula 1‘s summer break, and it’s fan favorite: the Belgian Grand Prix at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamp.
However, when you’re watching the race don’t try to spot Alpine‘s signature blue and pink livery hanging around the fringes of the points-paying positions (an improvement over their start to the season. Yikes), because the French team will use a very special one-off livery inspired comic book character Deadpool to promote the upcoming movie, Deadpool & Wolverine.
I’M NOT DOIN’ IT!
So, Tua Tagovailoa is going to be a hold-in at training camp for the time being. And that should put a Bunsen burner flame under the Miami Dolphins to get the quarterback signed to a contract extension.
The Dolphins opened training camp on Wednesday and one of the first orders of business was not good news because it had nothing to do with preparing for a potential Super Bowl run, but rather, it had to do with the unsettled contract of the team’s most important player.
Tagovailoa, signed to a fifth-year option that expires at season’s end, wants an extension.
I mean, it’s just a basic pop-up. Right?
New York City is synonymous with baseball. The two major league teams occupying that space – the New York Yankees and the New York Mets – have only clashed once for bragging rights during a 2000 World Series dubbed the Subway Series. And, the Yankees dominated that.
LeBron James has been playing in the NBA longer than Cody Williams has been alive, but the 19-year-old Utah Jazz rookie is not intimidated by one of the greatest players in basketball history. In fact, Williams is throwing jabs in James’ direction before playing one minute of meaningful NBA basketball.
Williams, along with plenty of other young players in the Association, couldn’t have ever imagined they’d be entering a league where James was not only still playing, but still dominating. The soon-to-be 40-year-old averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.
Bowman, along with Al MacIsaac and Joel Quenneville, were reinstated by the NHL on July 1.
Lions coach Dan Campbell had some high energy during training camp Wednesday.
Campbell has completely changed the culture in Detroit after decades of awful seasons at the team’s worst and mediocrity at its best.
The team came within one bad half of football from playing for the Super Bowl last season. I’m not sure that’s something anyone could have imagined just a few years ago.
What is one of the best attributes about Campbell? The man is incredibly high-energy, and he hasn’t lost a step going into 2024.
Two Canadian Olympic women’s assistant soccer coaches have been dismissed by the team after two incidents of reportedly using drones to spy on New Zealand’s team ahead of their first match against each other.
Canadian team soccer analyst Joseph Lombardi and assistant coach Jasmine Mander were sent home from the Paris Olympics after New Zealand saw Lombardi using a drone during one of their private soccer practices, presumably to get an illegal and unfair advantage on the team’s game plan.

Schauffele dominated at the Open Championship to earn his second major title, but t television ratings were abysmal.
Xander Schauffele won his second major championship at the Open Championship last Sunday. Royal Troon challenged the golfers with its wild conditions, but it seems the fans were not interested.
However, the television ratings for that final round were reportedly the worst in almost a decade. NBC and Peacock drew in 3.39 million viewers to watch Schauffele win by two shots, per Josh Carpenter of Sports Business Journal.
