Who should want Davante Adams? A lot of teams.
An underwhelming wide receiver market in free agency received a boost Tuesday when the New York Jets released star wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams should go right to the top of the free-agent class with the Cincinnati Bengals placing the franchise tag on Tee Higgins. Adams, 32, should have his choice of landing spots. He reportedly is interested in playing on his native West Coast.

Take a look at the free agents at the kicker position.
Kickers always seem to make a big difference in a game, but they aren’t usually highly valued on the free agency market. There are a couple notable placekickers hitting the market this year, including one of the most automatic of recent years.

This year, IndyCar legend Helio Castroneves — one of just four drivers to have won the Indianapolis 500 four times — made his NASCAR Cup Series race debut in the Daytona 500.
Castroneves entered the race in the No. 91 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing and joined the field — somewhat controversially, even though Trackhouse simply followed the rules and filled out the proper paperwork — as the 41st entry, thanks to a new rule that allows drivers of exceptional pedigree from outside of NASCAR a way into races.

The Mavericks’ epic downfall is heartbreaking but amazing to watch
The Dallas Mavericks made a Cinderella run to the 2024 NBA Finals last season thanks to the brilliance of Luka Doncic and some sharp mid-season trades by lead executive Nico Harrison to build the team around him. Dallas entered the playoffs as the No. 5 seed, but pulled three straight upsets without home court advantage to win the Western Conference for the second time in franchise history.
Saquon Barkley has done the improbable, and yes, it’s more impressive than that backwards hurdle and winning the Super Bowl months after being discarded by his previous team.
Barkley just single-handedly raised the bar on what had been a depressed running back market by earning a huge contract extension from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Barkley has agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $41.2 million that makes him the highest-paid player at his position. This deal includes $36 million fully guaranteed at signing.
