The National Hockey League is gearing up to send its players and coaches back to the Olympics for the first time since 2014 when they take part in the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
On Saturday it was revealed that Pittsburgh Penguins bench boss Mike Sullivan will lead Team USA.
And, lucky him, he’ll get a dress rehearsal in 2025 before heading to Italy the following year.
“We’re excited to have Mike guiding our teams,” Team USA general manager Bill Guerin said in a statement, per the Associated Press.

Max Verstappen captured pole at the F1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, but his racing day was not over
In case you needed a reminder of just how much Max Verstappen loves racing — whether real or virtual — you were given one on Saturday.
Verstappen fought off the field at the Formula 1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at historic Imola, qualifying on pole for the eighth straight F1 race. That mark, which dates back to last season’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, saw Verstappen match a record set by the legendary Ayrton Senna.

Look, it’s a slow news day outside of Valhalla. That’s generally what happens on May 18. People think the Dog Days of Summer start in July, but that ain’t true. They start right around now.

The Mayor of Louisville revealed on Saturday the the policeman who detained Scheffler did not have his body camera on.
The Mayor of Louisville, Craig Greenberg, revealed Saturday that no body camera footage of Scottie Scheffler’s arrest exists.
Police placed Scheffler in handcuffs early Friday at the PGA Championship, charging him with assaulting a police officer—a penalty punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
