Daniel Brown kept himself in contention and is in the mix at the midway point of The Open Championship.
One of The Open Championship qualifiers, Daniel Brown, is in contention after two rounds of play.
He led The Open after Thursday when he signed for a 6-under 65. However, he fell one spot down the leaderboard Friday when he carded a 1-over 73 to sit two behind the leader, Shane Lowry.
Brown is not well known among golf fans, but he has handled these treacherous conditions like a seasoned veteran.

Max Kellerman has not spoken or appeared publicly since he was part of ESPN’s mass talent layoffs in June 2023. What has he done over the past 13 months? According to his long-time friend and boxing colleague Brian Kenny, “nothing.”

The MLB All-Star break is over and now it’s time for the contenders to start separating themselves from the pretenders.
Now that we’ve gotten the American League’s annual paddling of the National League in the All-Star Game out of the way, it’s time to focus on the business end of the regular season. Adam Hadwin is playing in The Open Championship this weekend, but since the tournament is taking place at Royal Troon in Scotland, fans in the United States have to wake up before sunrise in order to catch the action live. And that’s just something Jessica isn’t willing to do.
“I’m blown away reading how many people on here are getting up in the middle of the night to watch golf,” she posted on X Wednesday night. “Y’all are sick lol.”
