Bill Belichick may be a Massachusetts sports hero, but that doesn’t mean the feelings are mutual, especially when it comes to their liberal politicians and the state’s high taxes.
Appearing on Monday’s Pat McAfee Show, Belichick was asked about the continuing rebuilding of the Patriots, who have fallen so much that the once-famed dynasty ended up with a 4-13 record last year, which would be Belichick’s last as head coach.

Williams Team Principal James Vowles has seen enough
Logan Sargeant’s time in Formula 1 seems to have come to an end.
The American driver scored a single point in his first F1 season and was retained by Williams Team Principal James Vowles for the 2024 season. This decision came as somewhat of a surprise, given Sargeant’s struggles a year ago and Williams’ designs on a move further up the grid.
However, Vowles’ patient decision has yet to translate into success on the track for Sargeant.

NFL teams can’t really ‘win the preseason,’ but if they could, the Bears would be champs
At long last the NFL preseason is officially over. We did it.
In some ways it feels like it all went by in a flash, but in others it seems like we are finally on the other side of the sludge like Andy Dufresne. Whatever the case, the most important fact is that the next NFL game we see will matter in full totality.

Zach Wilson still isn’t a starting-caliber NFL QB, but the Broncos seem to be the perfect spot for the former second overall pick to save his career.
Quarterback development is not linear. It rarely happens on a smooth curve, for all kinds of reasons.
Young quarterbacks coming into the NFL could be bedeviled by offensive systems that in no way resemble what they worked with in college. They might have coaches intent on retrofitting their quarterbacks into systems that don’t work for them.
One stat perfectly sums up Angel Reese’s struggles on offense near the hoop.
The Chicago Sky rookie is averaging 13.6 points per game and 12.9 rebounds per game for a team that is pretty bad.
She’s also shooting a disappointing 38.7%, but the stats actually get worse the more you dig in. She simply can’t shoot near the hoop.
Reese is shooting just 43.8% from inside five feet, and that’s the lowest percent in the league by a significant margin.
You can see the data graph of shots from within five feet in the mega-viral tweet from Steph Noh below.
The Browns have reportedly made some decisions about the quarterbacks they want to take into the 2024 season.

Hovland did not have his best season on the PGA Tour in 2024, but he still made it to East Lake for the Tour Championship.
ATLANTA — Viktor Hovland made just 15 starts on the PGA Tour in 2024. However, it was enough to get him inside the Top 30 of the FedEx Cup standings and a shot at defending his Tour Championship title.
No one expected this kind of year for the Norweigan after his dominant win at East Lake.
He made 12-of-15 cuts. Hovland finished in the Top 25 seven times and twice inside the Top 10.
