Adam Scott came up a tad short of Robert MacIntyre at the Genesis Scottish Open but had nothing but positive reflections afterward.
Adam Scott held a two-shot lead with four holes to play but did not come out on top, despite not making any glaring mistakes down the stretch.
Instead, he saw Robert MacIntyre race him by as the Scotsman scuttled past the Aussie with an eagle-par-birdie finish to take home the Genesis Scottish Open title by one.

Robert MacIntyre took home the Genesis Scottish Open in grand style. Here is how much he and the field made.
Robert MacIntyre made history on Sunday, becoming the second Scotsman to win Scotland’s National Open. He soared up the leaderboard on Saturday with a 7-under 63 and then posted a 3-under 67 on Sunday to best Adam Scott by one and join Colin Montgomerie in the history books.
It marked his second PGA Tour win of 2024, as he had another national open title to his name before this week, too.
