Mike McDaniel was not letting Calais Campbell go without a fight.
The Miami Dolphins received an offer for the 38-year-old defensive tackle ahead of this season’s trade deadline. In fact, a deal was in place to send Campbell to the Baltimore Ravens, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. But that’s when McDaniel stepped in and threw a “temper tantrum” in front of general manager Chris Grier to stop the trade.
“The offer for compensation for his services was real,” McDaniel said. “And I think it wasn’t like it was Chris versus me.

Absolutely nothing is going right for the Philadelphia 76ers — not even their social media graphics.
The Sixers got thumped by the Los Angeles Clippers at home on Sunday. And after the game, as is customary, the social media team posted a graphic on social media that displayed the final score, 125-99.
But it didn’t take long for fans to notice that an unfortunate font choice made “Final” look more like, well, another word.

The New England Patriots were flagged 10 times during their 34-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 12 as they continue to be among the most-penalized teams in the NFL. That isn’t Jerod Mayo’s problem, at least not according to the head coach himself.
The 10 penalties the Patriots had accepted against Miami were the second-most of any team in the league during Week 12’s action, and while there is no debate that the many flags hurt New England’s chances of making things competitive against the Dolphins, Mayo feels like he can only do so much.
