Tennis great Billie Jean King saw a jealousy-driven scenario like the one we’re seeing with Caitlin Clark in the WNBA take place in her own sport over 50 years ago. She took matters into her own hands by not letting women’s tennis implode at the time and is warning the WNBA it had better not blow this new opportunity either.
King, who met Clark after attending the Indiana Fever – New York Liberty game last month, drew the comparison to some of her fellow tennis players not exactly embracing Chris Evert when she burst onto the scene at the 1971 U.S. Open at just 16 years old.

Daisy Ridley’s next film is called Young Woman and the Sea, which shares the story of Gertrude Ederle, the first woman to swim across the English Channel. Ridley plays the main character, Trudy, who was one of the best swimmers in the world when she swam the Channel in 1926. Along with her historical achievement of swimming from France to England, Ederle was an Olympic gold medalist in the 1924 games.
In an interview with SI Kids, Ridley explained that she was “inspired” playing the role of Ederle.
“I felt very inspired by what she did,” Ridley said.

Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle was teammates with the late Bill Walton for two seasons during his NBA playing career.
Carlisle and Walton overlapped on the Boston Celtics from 1985 to ’87 and won an NBA championship together in 1986. Walton averaged 2.1 assists per game that season, but it was an off-the-court assist that Carlisle remembers most.
“I have him to thank, probably, also for me being married to my wife Donna,” Carlisle told reporters ahead of the Pacers’ Game 4 matchup against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals Monday.

Angel Reese is getting cooked on social media after she was tossed Tuesday night.
The Chicago Sky rookie was ejected during a loss to the New York Liberty following a verbal exchange with an official late in the game.
Not only was Reese ejected, but she didn’t play well in the game. While she finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds, she shot a truly abysmal 3-12 from the field.
Well, people on social media were more than happy to cook and roast Reese after the official sent her packing. Turns out that many people aren’t fans.
