That’s been true for everyone from Paul Brown to Bill Walsh to Bruce Arians, and even the negative examples (hello, Josh McDaniels) prove that when you have a knack for getting quarterbacks in the best possible frame of mind to succeed, your value as a coach will rise exponentially.

Mack Brown isn’t overly pleased with rival coaches focusing on one thing with him:
The fact he’s in his 70s.
Brown turns 73 a couple days before North Carolina’s first game of the season. He’s the oldest active coach in college football.
It’s understandable why people might be using his age against him, but he’s now returning fire in pretty blunt fashion.
Brown addressed the media during ACC Media Days, and he had a pretty simple message for any coach talking to recruits about the fact he’s in his 70s.
Focus on yourself.
