The Chicago Bears are playing in the Hall of Fame Game tonight, but Caleb Williams will be watching from the sideline
If there is a football fan in your life, they might be a little excited today.
Because the NFL is back.
Thursday night sees the kickoff of the NFL’s preseason slate of games, with the annual Hall of Fame Game coming live from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The game features the Houston Texans — last year’s AFC South upstarts — and the Chicago Bears.
NFL training camps are in full swing, and it turns out that players hate sitting in meetings as much as most people do, which is why Philadelphia Eagles safety CJ Gardner-Johnson was treated like a conquering hero when he got one of the team’s meetings canceled by drilling a three-pointer.
The Eagles have a basketball hoop in the corner of their meeting room (because why not?) and it was up to Gardner-Johnson — who’s back with the Birds after spending last season with the Detroit Lions — to drain a bucket and put an early end to a team meeting.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this for Clayton Kershaw.
After recent years, where the once fabled star pitcher was a guaranteed light’s out on the mound, things have soured for Kershaw. Earlier this year, Kershaw had to undergo his first ever shoulder surgery and the effects may still be hindering him. After having his return continuously delayed, Kershaw made his 2nd appearance last night on the mound and set a new personal record for himself – but for all the wrong reasons.

Spirits are high at McLaren F1 heading into the summer break
McLaren enters the summer shutdown as perhaps the hottest team in Formula 1. Over the past eight race weekends, they have totaled 242 points, most from any F1 team since the Miami Grand Prix, and that run of form has seen them pull to within 42 points of Red Bull atop the Constructors’ Championship standings.
