The NFL has just done the right thing in moving Monday Night’s playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams out of Southern California’s SoFi Stadium as a result of the wildfires that have ravaged the region.
The league made the announcement Thursday evening:
“In the interest of public safety, Monday’s Vikings-Rams Wild Card game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals,” the league said in a statement.
The NFL has moved Monday’s playoff game between the Vikings and Rams to Arizona, saying the decision was made in the interest of public safety as wildfires continue to ravage Southern California.
The NBA postponed Thursday’s game between the Hornets and Lakers because of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area that have claimed over 1,000 structures, including the home of Lakers coach JJ Redick.
Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, who declared for the NFL draft last month, has now entered the NCAA transfer portal, sources confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.

Fans can start buying tickets for Vikings-Rams on Friday.
This Saturday, the Steelers-Ravens NFL playoff matchup will air exclusively on Amazon Prime. Amazon outbid NBC’s Peacock to secure the right to the streaming-only wild card window for an estimated price of $150 million, as Prime Video seeks to establish itself as the premier streaming service for sports fans.
It sounds like Amazon could soon look to strengthen its stake in that claim by adding the fastest-growing sports league in America: The UFC.
