Things have been rapidly deteriorating for the San Jose State women’s volleyball team for weeks, but for the players, it got a lot worse over the weekend.
Less than two hours prior to their match against New Mexico on Saturday, the school informed the players that associate head coach Melissa Batie-Smoose was put on leave and would not be with the team, indefinitely. 
Batie-Smoose filed a Title IX complaint against the school alleging favoritism towards transgender player Blaire Fleming and, by doing so, violated the rights of the women on the team.

It started out with such promise for the New Orleans Saints this year, but the last seven weeks have been brutal and on Monday morning head coach Dennis Allen paid the price with his job.
Allen, 52, was informed Monday morning his three-season tenure with the club was coming to an end.
This followed a seven-game losing skid that included Sunday’s 23-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers – who previously were considered perhaps the worst team in the NFL.
Amid the losing skid, owner Gayle Benson began to question why the team was failing.

There were seven ranked teams in the Top-25 that lost games this past weekend in college football, and we are closing in on the last few weeks of the regular season. It was Ohio State making a statement at Penn State, while Texas A&M had one week in the standings before losing to South Carolina on Saturday night. 
A vast majority of folks thought this would be a two-team race for the ACC’s automatic bid, but after Clemson was destroyed at home by Louisville, this could actually come down to Miami and SMU, and not the Tigers.

The Spurs coach will be away from the team indefinitely.
Gregg Popovich is a living legend for the San Antonio Spurs. At 75 years old, Popovich is the oldest head coach in the NBA today, and with five championship rings, he’s one of the most accomplished coaches in league history. Popovich’s 1,391 wins ranks No. 1 all-time in the NBA.
Popovich is stepping away from the Spurs after a health scare, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Assistant coach Mitch Johnson will be San Antonio’s new interim head coach.
