The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, residents and a fabric of a community that has been rocked by hurricanes twice in the past month, have had to adjust. And overcome adversity.
We’re talking real adversity, by the way.
Not adversity as defined by the NFL, in which someone suffers an unfortunate injury or losing skid.
We’re talking life-threatening adversity.
Well, God bless the Buccaneers because they can handle real adversity.

The Steelers reached the end zone against the Raiders thanks in large part to a perfect ‘Peanut Punch’ from T.J. Watt
One of the AFC’s most storied rivalries is being renewed this Sunday, as the Las Vegas Raiders host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6 action.
So far, the game has been something of a defensive struggle. While the Raiders built a 7-6 lead, holding the Steelers to just a pair of field goals, Justin Fields and company were able to tack on a touchdown before halftime. While their ensuing two-point conversion failed, Pittsburgh hods a 12-7 lead at the break.
The Lions scored on the exact same trick play that worked last year
The Detroit Lions look like a heavy favorite in the NFC to start the 2024 season. The Dallas Cowboys always look like a contender in October, but we all know how that story usually ends. Their Week 6 matchup was a measuring stick game for both teams, and Detroit brought out its best plays to show who really runs the conference.
David Montgomery’s epic stiff arm helped the Lions get the scoring started in the first quarter.
For a perfect example of “I see what you did there,” look no further than Dallas Cowboys fans on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
When Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey ran onto the field to attempt a 34-yard field goal in the first quarter, fans broke out in a cheer that made a lot of sense.
Fox microphones clearly picked up a solid, “Let’s Go Brandon!” chant from many Dallas fans.
Sure, the Cowboys fans could certainly have been JUST cheering for their field goal kicker.
But, that seems unlikely.
