There could be a pretty seismic shift coming to college hockey this week according to reports that the NCAA will vote Monday on whether or not to allow players with Canadian Hockey League experience — the highest level of junior hockey in Canada — to play at the college level.

A Texas High School football team is facing criticism after not only putting a beating on their opponents 77-0, but also taking belts and whipping some of the opposing team’s players afterward in the handshake line.
Players at the Houston-based Willis High School were seen on a video posted on Facebook taking large belts and swinging them at members of the Cleveland High School team during the customary postgame sportsmanship handshake. At one point, one of the Cleveland players jumps out of the way in order to avoid getting whipped while Willis’s players laugh at their opponent.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs may have just earned himself the status of the NFL’s dumbest player.
Evidently, the third-year wideout is not happy with his “diminished” role on the team, so he decided to skip practices. The Packers returned serve and suspended Doubs for Sunday’s game against the Rams.
That is about as counterproductive a move as you can get; if you’re not happy, talk to the coaches and work harder to increase your role. But for crying out loud, don’t pout about it and sit on the sideline.

The Oregon Ducks won again on Friday night, beating the Michigan State Spartans 31-10 at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. The outcome was never in doubt; Oregon jumped to an early lead, and pulled away 21-0 at halftime. 
Oregon racked up 477 total yards on offense, with 6.7 yards per play, respectable if not excellent offensive numbers against a Big Ten opponent. But the score and the production don’t fully explain some issues raised by the play of the Ducks sixth-year senior quarterback, Dillon Gabriel.
