UNCASVILLE, Conn. — On Tuesday night, when the Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx faced off in Game 2 of the WNBA semi-finals, Courtney Williams and Marina Mabrey made headlines for some third-quarter trash talk.
While the Washington Commanders are a few years into using their current name, a lot of people would like to see them return to the classic Redskins name and logo that the team used for the overwhelming majority of their history.
In recent years, there’s been a push to bring back the logo and the name — both of which were previously lambasted as “offensive” — and one of the people fighting to bring it back is the grandson of the man who designed it.

San Jose State volleyball played its first game on Thursday night since three Mountain West schools announced they would forfeit rather than play the Spartans and transgender starter Blaire Fleming.
Colorado State hosted San Jose State at Moby Arena and the Rams soundly defeated the Spartans in straight sets. San Jose State played without its top player, Nayeli Ti’a.
The school told OutKick that Ti’a suffered an injury during a practice last week and was not available for the match.
