Alpine adds Ryō Hirakawa as a reserve driver as rumors swirl regarding their 2025 driver lineup
The 2025 Formula 1 season is just around the corner, but Alpine is not done adding to their driver roster.
The team announced on Thursday that Ryō Hirakawa was joining Alpine as a test and reserve driver for the 2025 season. As part of his duties, Hirakawa will participate in the team’s Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) program, and will drive the A525 in FP1 ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix at the start of April.

A pair of disgruntled fans threw punches in the stands during a game between the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
While we have no idea what ticked these guys off to begin with, a video circulating on X shows two men grappling with each other before a fellow with long, curly hair starts throwing haymakers. That’s when the other man, who had leverage as he was one row up, reciprocated with a couple punches of his own.
“I was right behind the fight!” the fan who posted the video wrote.

The Vancouver Island University women’s basketball team, which has a transgender player leading the team in points, has refused to play against a Christian college, alleging that the Christian school harassed the transgender player during an October contest. 
Vancouver Island released a statement saying that its players don’t feel safe playing against Columbia Bible College this weekend.
“Intimidation, harassment, and discrimination have no place in athletics,” the statement read, according to Fox News.
