Everything was going right for the Detroit Lions on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. And then, it all changed.
Although the Lions absolutely dominated the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium all game, there’s an argument that the game was more of a loss than a win.
That’s because star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, the No. 2 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, suffered what appeared to be a season-ending leg injury while sacking Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Hutchinson’s leg appeared to make contact with a teammate and looked to snap in half.
Breanna Stewart scored 21 points and Betnijah Laney-Hamilton added 20 to help the New York Liberty beat the Minnesota Lynx 80-66 on Sunday in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals.

Aidan Hutchinson immediately knew the injury was serious. We’ll update as more is known.
UPDATE: Pro Football Talk is reporting the cart took Hutchinson to the tunnel where the ambulance is, rather than to the locker room. He’ll get checked out at the hospital before next steps are figured out.

Betnijah Laney-Hamilton led the way in the Liberty’s win over the Lynx, while the Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart responded from letdown Game 1 performances to ensure the victory.
Just a few days after a letdown Game 1 loss to the Lynx, it was the Liberty who pulled away at the end to tie up the WNBA Finals with an 80-66 win. Betnijah Laney-Hamilton was the hero in this one — exploding for a season-high 20 points — as the Liberty secured a Game 2 win with the series heading back to Minnesota.
